If you are an outdoor person and not like the urban living that much, you won't be able to resist this little mountainous Switzerland. You will be wowed by their numerous mountains, lakes, little medieval village, snow alps, and hiking trail and ski resorts. I believe there is no right season to visit as all seasons would be just as perfect. What is there not to love about this country. Relax by the lake/mountain, have a sip of wine and have some Swiss chocolate or cheese. I've chose to go after Summer just to avoid the crowd and long lines. Traveling around Switzerland - Train or car? Train: You can either get a Swiss Pass that allows you various discounts for their attractions. However there are fixed timings and some bus services ends early. Full priced trains are expensive. Car: Thats what I did as I do not have many days in Swiss. Free & easy. No fixed schedule. But, we have to pay the full price for attractions. What I recommend is to head to Interlaken as this place offers so much. I can't get enough! My 3 nights there weren't enough. If you are driving, please take expressway A8! The drive was really scenic. Stay: Merligen; Interlaken. Home with a lake view and really nice owner! Would totally recommend this Airbnb. Attractions: Lake Brienz Lake Thun Interlaken - Grocer Co-Op.
